Mississippi Marvel. Not his real name. He had one foot in blues and the other in gospel. And his church family must never know about his juke joint family. (Yes, I know his name, and no, even in death I cannot tell you.) If you saw the film "M for Mississippi" which I co-produced with Jeff Konkel of Broke & Hungry Records, then you've seen/heard Marvel's story and music. Totally real deal!
