New original painting from summer 2021 by acclaimed, African American painter W. Earl Robinson of Clarksdale. High-quality painting on canvas with homemade framing.
BIO: W. (Willie) Earl Robinson was born in Yazoo City, Mississippi, in 1950 but has lived in Clarksdale for decades. The self-taught African-American artist works in both oils and acrylics, and often builds his own wooden frames of found-cypress. His Delta subject matter comes from his own life — including blues musicians, gospel scenes, baptisms, old shacks and Mississippi cotton. His works are in the permanent collections of various museums as well as fans like actor Morgan Freeman. Cat Head has worked with Mr. Robinson since 2002.
