Legendary, Mississippi-born bluesman Charlie Musselwhite is my neighbor here in Clarksdale, Mississippi, and he and his lovely wife Henri are regular visitors at Cat Head — often to the surprise of unsuspecting tourists! "Mississippi Son" is his new LP (on blue vinyl!). It's a wonderful traditional blues release that was recorded two blocks away from my store at Clarksdale Sound Stage. It features Charlie singing, blowing harmonica and playing guitar. Oh, and that's not a rented "prop" car on the cover; that's Charlie's old Caddy.
